To enable Java in Chrome, follow these steps:
Open Chrome browser and type "chrome://settings/content" in the address bar.
Scroll down and click on "JavaScript" to expand the options.
Toggle on the switch next to "Allowed (recommended)" to enable JavaScript.
Scroll down to the "Plugins" section and click on "Manage plugins."
Find the "Java" plugin and click on "Enable" to activate it.
Restart your Chrome browser to apply the changes.
Note that starting with Chrome version 45, NPAPI plugins, including Java, are no longer supported. If you are using a version of Chrome that is higher than 45, you will need to use a different browser or a standalone Java application to run Java programs.
